Since my 2010 was a southwestern vehicle and basically rust free, I am hoping to keep it that way underneath. I bought the sprayer kit #1 here www.kellsportproducts.com/fluidfilmkits.html We'll see how it does this winter.

This looks interesting. Keep us updated and let us know how easily it applies, how well it seems to work, etc.

Sure thing. I hope to apply it tomorrow.
There are some threads about it on the blue room if you are interested.

Did it today...the sprayer kit worked pretty well. Would have been a lot easier with the FJC on a lift though. Hard to say if I got everywhere while laying on the ground.
I did it in the driveway, and glad I did as it has something of a sweet odor that isn't too bad in small doses but I wouldn't want it all over the garage.

I just brought home a 2010 FJ from San Antonio, TX. I literally just bought Fluid Film kit #1 before checking my email to see my new account was approved on this forum. This is my first post here, but I'll also try to make it back here to post my thoughts after the application. I also bought the extra 32" sprayer wand with 360ยบ nozzle. My friend said he has access to a lift, so I'm hoping for easy application.
Did you have much dripping? From the sounds of it, this stuff can pretty much be sprayed anywhere under the truck an possibly even the engine compartment? Might be a good way to add a nice clean sheen to the engine bay while protecting many surfaces
Serenity Now over on FJCF recommended this kit to me. So thanks buddy! I hope this low cost, easy treatment works out well.

Yeah I think I'm going to get some ramps for next time, if I put both wheels on one side on ramps I will be able to get under there and see what I am spraying more clearly.
I had a few drips but not bad really.
Maybe I should change my sig...I am BigSwede on most forums but it was taken for FJCF.

I am BigSwede on most forums but it was taken for FJCF. That makes even more sense! I thought there was a bigswede on FJCF. Confusion is over.

Gave 'er the fall Fluid Film treatment on Saturday. Just waiting for the smell to fade now.
Seemed to be very little advancement in rust since last year, except maybe for a couple of very small spots that tend to get truly sandblasted on the road. Time will tell.
Never did buy ramps, but I used the floor jack to lift one side at a time, made it a little easier.

Good to hear you got it done! I'll be spraying mine soon. My friend has a new job with access to a lift and huge air compressor. So I'll be finding some time to bring it down his way when I can.
Did you drill holes to spray inside the doors?

No, I pulled the door liner off, then removed the speaker for access to the interior of the doors. I didn't go into the other 3 doors, maybe I should, hmmm.
FYI I used most of a gallon in two applications (last fall and this fall), I'll have to buy some more next year.

Oh, good idea for door access! I didn't do my doors before. I want to this year, though.
I also noticed the window seals on the bottom of the window are broken and useless. I'm sure it's let a lot of dirt into my doors. If you know where to buy new window seals, let me know. I don't know how to install them, but I'll do some research and find out. Hopefully it's easier than I think.

I applied Fluid Film in October. I bought the spray gun kit on Amazon with 1 gal. of stuff. Easy to apply, smells really nasty. I didn't open up the doors or drill holes to do inside. I just sprayed the underside where I could. Mostly using it to stop the rust that was already on my '07. It seems to stay on really well. I can still see the shininess of it when I look under truck.

I think it is safe to say it might not be perfect, but it will definitely slow down the rust - a LOT!
I apply it in the driveway to keep overspray and smell off of the garage floor and stuff, but it still smells for a while.
