I will be heading to Moab for the 15th time, May 14-21. If you are on the way to Overland Expo, stop on by. It's about 6 hours from Moab to OE. I'll be taking the Trooper though, the FJC is still too nice to beat up

We cant make the May trip. But we are hitting Moab on the way to Ouray this year. BroomballBiker and I have about 2 days set a side for seeing the area. Of coarse, we are thinking Top of the World and Maybe Hells Revenge. (NOT DOING HELLS GATE) I heard Top of the world run is like a 10 hour run? Is that true? Any other runs you would suggest??

It shouldn't take that long to do TOTW, unless you do Rose Garden Hill on the way out like some do. I have heard TOTW is getting dug out and more difficult since I did it last. But our group is planning to do it this year so I can report back after that.
I like Kane Creek, it has a little of everything. Winding through the tamarisk with many stream crossings, and challenging ledge climbs once you get out of the canyon. A locker is a good thing here in a couple of spots. There is a chance of some pinstriping from the trees.

Oh, and my all-time favorite trail out there is Elephant Hill in Canyonlands NP, but be aware that it is about 75 miles from Moab, no dogs allowed, and you need a permit (easy).
